Have your character pick up an interesting artifact, find a special place, see something strange.
This will give your character a special ability - one per character. Examples include psychometry, aura reading, channelling, but staff will accept anything within reason.
Make an undead character. Keep in mind that their deaths are usually gruesome or early, and their remains must be along the ley, so they will not have been buried conventionally in the cemetery, and their history should reflect this. More on ghosts here.
Literally make your character’s dreams come true. This ability is only able to be used in Estrella (or on other places along the ley line). Keep in mind that there will be IC consequences for characters who abuse this ability. More on thieves here.
